Normal transaction in banks from Sunday

The 67-day slow banking flow will come in normal from Sunday. Again the transaction of the bank will be as per the previous schedule. However, limited banking activities will be in corona risky areas.

A circular has been issued on Thursday (May 26) from Bangladesh Bank’s Department of Off-site Supervision with instructions in this regard.

The circular mentioned that tough it introduced normal transactions in bakns, but all have been asked to fully comply with the coronavirus prevention hygiene regulations what health department instructed.

Banks, however, will operate from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m in medium and high risk areas infected with the declared coronavirus.  Appropriate measures should be taken to keep the bank booth open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The office work environment has to maintain ensuring social distance. Measures should be taken to prevent at-risk individuals, sick employees and women with child potential from attending the workplace.

As per the instructions issued by the government, the bank has to take necessary measures at its own risk for the transportation of officers and employees to the office when the public transport movement is limited.
