PM not willing to open educational institution right now

The Prime Minister reiterated that the decision to open educational institution is not right now. She said the educational institutions will be opened in phases considering how much the situation does improve. Students should not put at any risk.

The Prime Minister said this while announcing the results of this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations in a video conference from Ganobhaban on Sunday (May 31).

Among others, the Minister of Education Dipu Moni and Deputy Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel, chairmen of various education boards were engaged in video conferencing with Ganobhaban.

Prime Minister said, not in a fro, we want to move forward step by step. So that students are not infected by the corona virus, because they are our future. We can’t create any risk for the future nation builders.

That is why we will not open the educational institutions. We see that if we can overcome this situation, then we will gradually open up, she said.

Sheikh Hasina called upon the students to study at home without wasting time. She said it is also a good opportunity to study. We ourselves, now there is not much engage in work – we have the opportunity to know and read a lot.

“Here I would say everyone will study attentively,” Sheikh Hasina said adding that “I will request the students to learn to read and be human.”
