Lawmaker of Kushtia-4 also Presidium Member of Awami Juba League Barrister Selim Altaf George has provided financial assistance to the children of Daulatdia Save Home, which was established to bring the neglected children into the mainstream of society. 

Sources said Daulatdia Save Home has been operating for a long time for the rehabilitation of neglected children of Daulatdia brothel.

Meanwhile, many neglected children who have been educated from this save home have stood on their own feet. They have proved their worth by working in different parts of the state. At present many are studying in different colleges and universities. 

The Save Home started its journey with the dedicated efforts of Fakir Abdul Jabbar, the present Chairman of Rajbari District Council and Executive Director of Karmajibi Kalyan Sangstha, a non-government development organization.

The Save Home was successfully run with the financial support of various donor agencies. 

But now the donors have stopped funding due to present situation.

Even then, the Save the Home authorities have been feeding these neglected children out of huge of problems. 

After knowing the matter, Barrister Selim Altaf George provided a cash grant of Tk 1 lakh to the Save Home authorities for the maintenance of these children.
