Barrister Selim Altaf George, lawmaker of Kushtia-4 laid the foundation stone to construct a bridge in Kumarkhali upazila in Kushtia on Friday.
The bridge is of 1100 m and 25 m PC girder, will be constructed on Kumarkhali GC to Gopakgram GC road.
It will cost around Tk 2.5 crore.
Kumarkhali Municipality Mayor Samshuzzaman Arun, District LGED Engineer Zahidur Rahman Mandal, Upazila Executive Officer Rajibul Islam Khan, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Saidur Rahman Lalu and others were present at the occasion.
According to the Upazila LGED office, the bridge will be constructed under the Khulna Divisional Rural Infrastructure Development Project.
The work is scheduled to be completed on February 26, 2021.
